Arrrrggghh!
I just imported pictures from my Nikon D40x using the USB cable for the very first time. In the past I’d always used my laptop’s built in SD card reader. And guess what. It deleted fucking photos mid-import. I’m not sure if it was the camera, lightroom, my computer, the cable, or what, but I’m done with USB cable imports for good. I’m officially freaked out. B & H . . . aren't they experts?
So today a guy at B & H sold me a Monopod, and a rotating ball head for it which DOESN’T FIT THE MONOPOD. Aren’t those folks supposed to be *the* experts? Oh well. I did manage to get a waterproof camera bag that holds about 8 lenses + camera + laptop + miscellanious other stuff. So that’s fun. I’ll return the bag tomorrow. Good Idea/Bad Idea
I often do very silly things on a whim. Like blow lots of money on nothing or totally change the course of my life for no particularly good reason. So I’m making this promise to myself; to make a change in an intelligent way. And that promise is: If I’m still as crazy about photography 6 months from now as I am today, I’m going to major in it.
