I AM A FUCKING INTELLECTUALCrystal Castles Tonight
So I’m shooting Crystal Castles tonight. This is going to be a totally different experience for me than the last time I shot them. It was at the now-closed Studio B, which was a small club in Williamsburg, several years ago. Tonight’s show is at an enormous venue, Terminal 5.
I’ll miss the more intimate environment of Studio B, but I’ve become a much better photographer for them, and I’ll be glad to have some great shots of Crystal Castles in my portfolio.
What I won’t miss, is the three-day bruises I used to get at Studio B from having my waist jammed into the stage over and over. Terminal 5 has a great photo pit and great lighting.
Crystal Castles circa 2008:
This shoot is going to blow that one out of the water (not that that’s a particularly difficult challenge).
Oh, and did I mention that Alice Glass is my dream-girl?
