I AM A FUCKING INTELLECTUAL

So today I start really working on my portfolio

I have 9000+ digital photos go to through, and hundreds upon hundreds of 35mm Black & White negatives.

I’m realizing, for one thing, that I’m not really using light room to its full potential. I use the editing features heavily, but I don’t tag any of my photos, they’re just all imported into folders. Some by date, some by event name, it’s totally random.

I have a week to organize these photos, and do all the post-processing. It’s the largest project I’ve ever done by far, and I haven’t given myself enough time to do it. But I’ll manage.

Luckily, I have the *entire* week off. I’ve rented some darkroom space tomorrow, at Print Space, so I should be good to go. I have 6 hours there.

I know NOTHING about digital printing though. Any thoughts? I just need to have everything printed up 8x10. The negatives I’ll be printing myself.

Taking care of business, every day, and other lame titles for blog posts

I’m incredibly tired right now, but thats what happens when you talk on the phone instead of sleeping.

BUT I CANT SLEEP. TOO MUCH SHIT TO DO.

Things I need to do:

• Learn CSS/HTML and update my portfolio website.
• Finish the lynda.com photoshop for photographers dvd. I know photoshop pretty well, but I’m mostly self taught, so I’d like to see what I  can learn from some formal lessons.
• Make rooftop rum
• Actually catch up in my classes … oh heavens.
• Plan a trip to Burlington at some point, to visit Madison.
• Get a whole bunch of new photoshoots together.
• Reprocess some of my older photos now that I know what the hell I’m doing.
• Probably some other stuff.
